This is my first rod from KastKing and it’s great. I’ve been wanting to buy a rod from KastKing for about a year and I always put it on hold. I have several other rods so it’s not that I really needed another one. Anyhow, I ended up picking up Crixus and it’s fantastic. Got the rod yesterday and I ended up testing it the same day for several hours. It seems to be very well made, attention to detail is there for sure, despite one small spot where rod seems to be scuffed up or something, it’s kind blueish spot. No big deal, construction is solid and very sturdy, rod is two piece and comes apart with ease. I paired it with KastKing Speed Deamon reel and, combination works well for me. Rod is very light and comfortable in hand, somehow it had a natural feel to it when I picked it up for the first time, grip is fantastic. I also have to mention how impressed I was with the packaging the rod came in, rod was wrapped in nylon bag with sponge protector on the top, all was placed in heavy cardboard tube. Definitely recommend the rod and the company, I will be buying more for sure. I’m eyeing the telescopic KastKing Blackhawk rod for travel, but I’m not sure I can justify the price of tht rod for just the occasional use, it will be on hold for now.
Great purchase and I’m glad I finally got it, it will be easier to purchase another ones

Just got my Crixus in today and took it straight out to the ponds. I dont usually frog fish past dark but the bass were loving the frogs tonight. I caught 8 bass in 30 mins ranging from 1 pound to the biggest at 4 pounds. The reason for getting this pole was that my No. 8 Blackout rod had to guide broke off and so I needed a new frigging rod. Man does this pole feel way more nice than the Blackout. KastKing you guys killed the game with this sub $50 rod.

It feels like a great rod, I love the grip and how sturdy it feels. The packaging and quality of the rod was way past expectations. Thank you, Kastking !
Update: I have used this rod and it feels great, even when the grip is wet, it doesn’t fail. I love the real seat screw, it’s so nice and holds the new assassin beautifully. This is my fav set up yet !
